Regulated and Prohibited Consumer Products in Canada

Responsibilities for Industry under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act, as well as, Regulated and Prohibited Consumer Products in Canada will be the focus of this workshop presented by Health Canada Consumer Product Safety Officer at Enterprise Toronto. The information is of great importance to manufacturers, importers or sellers of consumer products in Canada.

Consumer product is defined as a product that may reasonably be expected to be obtained by an individual to be used for non-commercial purposes (e.g., toys, children’s products, furniture, electronics, clothing, etc). A short discussion on cosmetic products will also be included during the workshop.

Food, drugs and medical devices, are covered under other legislation and will not be discussed during this workshop.
