Grant Writing 101 for Students and Fellows

It’s scholarship and fellowship season! Join us to learn the tools and techniques you need to succeed at CIHR, Restracomp, and more.

About this Event

Join the Research Training Centre and Grant Development Office for our Grant Writing 101 seminar–the tools and techniques you need to succeed with your fall scholarship and fellowship applications.

The seminar will also include a Q&A session about applying to awards through SickKids.

The seminar will be led by Dr. Natalia Kaniuk, Sr. Manager of the RTC and Faculty Office. Natalia formerly led the Grants Development Office, working on several multi-million dollars, multi-institutional grant applications. She was also a key member of the SK Research Awards and Honours Committee; facilitating and writing successful institutional nomination packages.

Natalia will also be joined by Dr. Melissa Dalgleish, Program Coordinator of the RTC. Melissa provides research, career, and professional development support to the 1,200 graduate and postdoctoral researchers who work at the SickKids Research Institute – i.e. all you folks! She also regularly writes and teaches about professional and career development for graduate-trained researchers for Chronicle Vitae, University Affairs, Inside Higher Ed, MediaCommons, and Hook & Eye.
