This startGBC program is made possible thanks to the generous support of:
Are you looking for an alternative work-integrated learning experience?
Have you considered starting your own business or social innovation entity?
Are you unsure about what it takes to be an entrepreneur or the pathway to take to succeed in entrepreneurship?
The startGBC Work Integrated Learning Entrepreneurship Program might be the solution for you. The next cohort will begin on January 17, 2023, we have a 12-week program that begins with two, 3-hour workshop sessions per week for the first 6 weeks. For the following 6 weeks, you will be working on your business/social innovation idea in collaboration with students from across the college.
In the workshop sessions, you will discover new topics that will lay the foundations for bringing your business/social innovation idea to life. Outside of the workshop sessions, you will spend your time on self-guided learning, as you investigate the weekly subject matters further and consider how you will apply it to your business idea. You will also work closely with the startGBC coach, who will spend one-on-one time with you to identify and challenge your assumptions on the problem and solution.
As an added bonus, you may be able to apply this program experience toward your work-integrated learning credit. For more information about potentially obtaining credit for this experience, or to express interest in participating in this program, please contact your co-op placement officer within your academic centre for enrolment.
