What’s your academic background?
George Brown College Diploma in Advanced Graphic Designs, 2006
What made you want to become an entrepreneur?
I dislike the idea you can be and perform at your best each day and watch someone else take the credit and financial reward. I enjoy having the responsibility of working on my own time and being accountable for my work as well as the ability to choose who I work with.
What drives you and your business?
Feeling limited in my creative abilities and financial rewards were my biggest motivations in creating my own business. It’s common to be asked the world of you and paid a fraction of what you’re worth. It’s not very motivating. But, when I create, my output feels beyond 100% and I am inspired to create exceptional, luxurious art. The amazement, gratitude and joy, of when I present a client with the finished product makes it worth waking up every day.
What successes have you enjoyed so far with building your company?
I have had the opportunity to work with celebrities’, CEOs, really gifted artists and creative talents both local and internationally to name a few. The life experiences, and working with different cultures has been an absolute blessing. Most of all, learning more about myself.
What is one piece of advice you would give to aspiring entrepreneurs?
Don’t let the fear of failure be a hurdle you can’t get over. 1 dollar is 1 million dollars, everything is fair game. You have no time to lose.
