What is Bridge at Tulip?
Bridge is a free eleven-week program hosted at Tulip for women, agender and non-binary people in software development. We meet in person twice a week, in small class sizes, to work on real-world projects and learn in-demand skills from expert developers. Bridge is committed to providing a supportive environment where students can learn, ask questions, and build on their technical skills. At the end of the course students will leave with greatly increased confidence, a project for their portfolio, and experience with highly-sought-after technologies taught by industry experts.
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 5th, 2018 – August 16th, 2018, 6pm-9pm
Where: Tulip, 1 York Street, Toronto
Please note that in addition to class time there will be an expectation that each student will spend approximately 10-15 hours per week outside of class working on the project.
Who can apply?
Anyone who identifies with any, some, or all of these categories: women, non-binary, and agender, and has some experience with coding; you’re comfortable with programming basics but would like to advance your web development skills. For example, you might be a junior web developer, a self-taught mobile dev, someone who left development and wants to come back. As long as you have the desire to learn we welcome your application. If you’re unsure you qualify, apply anyway.
