Millions of Canadians are struggling to pay for today, save for tomorrow, and plan for the unexpected. Over 50% of Canadians spend more than or equal to their income every month and 1/3rd aren’t able to pay all their bills on time and in full. Fintech can fill this gap. 

Innovate Financial Health (IFH) Lab is a 6-month no-fee no-equity program for startups designing technology-based solutions to the most pressing financial challenges facing Canadians today, particularly those more financially vulnerable. The program will operate in a hybrid format with an in-person orientation and demo-day and virtual sessions in between. Startups will get access to mission-aligned mentors, partners, investors, and peers through the program.

• At least one full-time employee
• Validated idea
• A product in market with some users (test users/pilots included)
• Incorporated in Canada, or with plans to incorporate in Canada by the end of the cohort
• Can commit to the program sessions
