Your gateway to entrepreneurship at George Brown College
In partnership with the Black Entrepreneurship Alliance at Black Creek Community Health Centre (BCCHC), York University TD Community Engagement Centre, and the Schulich Executive Education Centre, we have launched the Business & Leadership Essential Certificate Program. This is a FREE 2-month virtual program designed for early-in-career Black professionals, employees, career changers, business leaders, and entrepreneurs looking to quickly develop their business skills from top professors. No prior university or college credentials are required.
The Certificate in Business and Leadership Essentials is a two-month program designed to help both entrepreneurs and early-in-career professionals gain the base business knowledge and leadership skills to become effective business and community leaders. All participants who complete the program requirements will receive a Certificate and Digital Badge from the prestigious Schulich Executive Education Centre.
Each participant will complete four learning modules in Business Essentials. Modules are pre-recorded so the participants can learn at their own pace.
Each participant will complete a LeaderGENE Profile to identify their leadership strengths followed by two half-day leadership training sessions to help understand how the results of the assessment can be applied.
Each participant will receive 10 hours of group mentorship and career coaching advice during the program. The mentor will focus on helping the participants understand how they can apply their learnings to business start-up and career goals.
