The AquaHacking Challenge mobilizes young social innovators to create demand-driven tech solutions to improve the health of freshwater in North America. Bringing expertise in areas of water science, engineering, technology, marketing and business strategy, students and young professionals embark on a 7-month journey to create the most forward-thinking solutions to some of the greatest issues threatening the Great Lakes and beyond.
THE ISSUES THAT ARE BEING TACKLED THIS YEAR:
- Water Crisis Prediction & Adaption
- Phosphorus Capture & Recycling In Farming
- Tackling Endocrine-Disrupting Chemicals
- Real Time Reporting of Sewage Overflow & Untreated Sewage Spills
As our focus is demand-driven innovation, the issues are designed and submitted by organizations who will also provide expert insight to teams to better understand the issues as well as provide access to relevant data. Each team will also have access to water, programming, AI, engineering, design, data analysis and business strategy mentors, among others.
All teams who have signed-up will have to pitch their solutions on June 9 at the semi-finals, so make sure to register now!
